Will someone post me a Zip 100 with OS 1.20 on? UK

I'm stuck, My CF won't work because I don't have the OS 1.20 and I can't get any zip device to work with my Windows 7 machine or Mac..

I've tried everything for about a month, Bought multiple external zip drives, Internal and i'm near giving up.

Would anyone be willing to do me a massive favour and install OS 1.20 onto zip 100 disk and mail it to me in the UK??

I know its cheeky but I will happily pay whatever, I just wanna get making beats again without this constant f*cking around with stupid disks and drivers.

before putting the zip drive into your computer did you change the jumper to slave ?

thats what i had to do to get zip drive working in my computer.

All you want is 1.2 on a zip, do you have a usb zip drive?

You do not have to use SCSI Zip drive to update OS on 2000XL.
I'm not sure why you had to buy "multiple" zip drives, you might have bought non-SCSI zip drives, those don't work with MPCs. For external Zip drive, only SCSI Zip drive with manual ID switch and terminal on/off switch on the back works with MPCs.

Anyway, you can use floppy drive, which should be more more easy & cheaper to get in used market. I understand that you want to use Zip, but you really don't have to. You might even have old floppy drive and disks somewhere, you can use those.
For XL, you can use any standard floppy drive (not like MPC-60 or S900) I suggestion is to install floppy drive on XL temporarily, update the OS with the OS image on floppy disk (if you don't have PC with floppy drive, ask your friend to copy the OS to floppy disk, XL can read PC formatted floppy disk)

you could try connecting the zip drive and booting using a live CD to do the transfer of the OS you downloaded to your hard drive over to the zip disk drive

essentially, it's an OS that runs off a CD by powering your computer with the disk in the dvd drive. It's like a virtual windows xp sort of thing.. it will have a file browser like windows explore... you may be able to just drag n drop the files to the zip from that... try it out cause it will cost you 50 cents for a blank disk if that.
