I would probably take the black with white text for uniformity and because I've already started modding all black.

2nd choice would be the white with black text for pretty much the same reason.

I'd have to agree and say that the black background/green text is pretty fierce. I'd probably pick that if it was made an option.

My screen is still the green stock one for the 2500 - so anything is better than that.

Also very glad I held out on that regular black screen mod a few months back...

PS
When's JJ gonna hook it up so I can play Dig Dug on this thing???

Remember you have to look at the screen for a long period. It has to be comfortable for the eye.

BTW.I hope I'm wrong but I don't think the quality of the screen will represent true black. After a while when the display get's hot it may be washed out and the white won't be as bright.

If these screens are of better quality then the 5000 and it won't turn purplish etc. I would like a version for the 5000..................a JJOS version

Black text on white bg is my preference. Love it on my 1k. The "blue turning to purple" effect happens on 2500SE's blue lcd and while it's not distracting, and largely depends on the angle from where you view the screen, it's noticeable. More so on longer sessions.

1st Choice: Black with White text
2nd Choice: White with Black text

Not really feeling the Blue one

Definitely planning on getting this for my 2500

just want to clarify something.

MPC-STUFF: you mentioned earlier in the thread that we would be able to 'invert' these displays in the upcoming OS (so a white on black display becomes black on white). is that still the case? because then it wouldn't matter if we got a 'white on black' or 'black on white' display since we could change it at will in the OS, right?

im not sure if that would be the same, maybe 'black because of unlit on display type 1' is not the same as 'black because of lit on display type 2'...

Very good point. I will do some testing with a white one and see what it looks like when inverted. I will mess with some testing on them and let you know what we figure out.

Down for buying white text on black bg, it's generally better on the eyes than black text on white bg. But, if it's invertible then either way doesn't matter and we get the best of both worlds.

I think if you guys are only releasing one colour to start, it should be black/white as it matches with 'everything' (whatever mods/colour scheme people may have), plus it matches with the default mpc unit itself (assuming blk 1000's and stock 2500s). Shouldn't force people who want the product to use a screen that might clash with their setups; neutral colours are the best way to go for the initial round IMO.
