Hey all new here. Iv decided to put my Akia MPK25 to good use and try bashing out some beats on its pads. I'm just wondering what would be the best software to use? I'm looking for something fairly simple because all i really want to do is muck around with it and maybe record a few things. Although having features such as being able to repeat notes etc (not sure on the wording) would be great. So whats a nice simple program I should be looking at?

Thanks

I've used a MPK 25 with Reason. Its a great controller for Reason but a pain in the ass to setup not to mention that sampling isn't as smooth as it could be. It really depends on what you want to spend I think. After owning the MPK 25 I ended up selling it for a keyboard with more keys but miss having an MPK but if I were just about those pads I would have grabbed a MPD and Live because of how awesome Live handles audio. Too bad I didn't catch this either as Ableton was having a 33% off sale for Live. I picked it up over the weekend and it is great for samples. Reason is too I just think the MPK 25 is a pita to set up to enjoy it.
