mpc 2k to 4k pgm changes?

Are there any 4000 owners who recently or currently own a 2000xl? Maybe my ears are paranoid but it seems like programs i had on the 2000 sound different when I load them up on the 4000. Are the envelope settings the same? Please help

Yo J, I have experienced tons of problems with 2k programs over to 4k. Finally I got an answer from a company that I have purchased program/sample disks from. The 4k does not have the same filter/env settings as the 2k so sets will sound normal to messed up, just depending. Supposedly Akai is aware of this and maybe we will see changes. Hope this helps. One pointer, just re-sample how you want the sounds to be and make new programs. Mad tedious, but works. Peace, Hank
