Here is a video review I did about Reason 6.5. As a long time Reason user I think this is a good step forward and it will give Props the ability to really focus on Reason's core DAW features while giving a lot of users something they have been asking for for years.

I haven't had time to get deep into it, but in theory I like Rack Extensions. My problem is I'm a plugin whore who will pay. I was hoping that some of the firms/Propellerhead would offer some crossgrade discounting if you already own the VST/AU equivalent of the RE. I sort of knew with the re-coding and the closed ecosystem this was just me dreaming. It's just tough to break bread for say, FXPansion Etch Red when I already own the VST. I realize the CV routing offers a difference from the version I have but I really have to determine if that's worth it for me.
I suppose if you don't have the VST versions and Reason is a main app for you it's a non-issue. Sonic Charge Microtonic which I'm almost positive is confirmed as an upcoming RE is one that I'd almost considering buying again. It's made by Magnus Lidstrum who made Malstrom and has an almost identical layout to Redrum. That plugin with the addition of CV and the ability to use Combinators would be very dope.
