time stretching can be tricky. i just started using it to.
first get your sample to the tempo you like
you can do this in trim mode by pressin params
go to tune:and find what works for you
then go to the edit screen in trim mode
scroll to the right and select time stretch
look at preset: this has presets to help time stretch certain types of samples it usually set at fem vox which means female voice scroll
through and find the one that fits your type of sample
(this is kind of hit and miss some times but do it anyway}
now press bmp
enter the number of beats( ie 4 beats = 1 bar / four clicks of the metronome)
look at the source tempo
thats the tempo of your sample right now
new tempo is the tempo you want to fit the sample to
you can leave it the same or change it to a slower or faster tempo
(its important to do this even if your not changing the tempo)
press do it
it will process
your sample has been stretched
return to the main screen and assign the new sound to the same pad as the old sound
then enter the tempo you have used and the number of bars
rec the sound and it should fit
add some drums and you have a beat
I HOPE THIS WASNT CONFUSING THIS SHIT IS HARD TO EXPLAIN
let me know if you have questions
PEACE
