If I woke up and my girlfriend gave me some Dilla music for my birthday I would have a real problem with it.
Not as big as the problem my wife would have with it.

I was listening to some Dilla 2 weeks ago and it hit me just how long ago he passed away.

Hard to believe it was 6 years ago.

It's jsut too bad his music didn't get the proper attention when he was alive.

For sure didn't get the recognition he deserved,being from Detroit I had the pleasure of alot of first hears!and for the Kenny dixon aka moody man peep mahogani records it his label

he didnt do a cut ( as far as i can tell) i think his label just distro'd it out. The sleeve had the new label "Ruff draft records" printed and just the signature KDJ logo

I,myself am going to hunt the rebirth joint the recorded I got for my birthday is jaydees revenge on side a birthright on,side b......I belive it was distro'ed out and recorded at titan records in Detroit

Ok cool. Jay Dees revenge is on the Rebirth album but that other cut isn't. I'll have a hunt for that bad boy later.

Unfortunately if you read the other posts about the Rebirth, the album as a whole is pretty weak. You might feel different about it being from Detroit an all but most the verses on there are garbage IMO.

yeah i agree totally something this big......i was expecting alot more for sure
