Can anyone recommend a software program or piece of hardware that does a good job of time stretching samples without totally destroying them in the process? I have a beat I'm working on but in order to get the loop to match tempo with the drums, the loop had to be time stretched AND detuned to -70. Needless to say, the loop lost a lot of its punch after all of this tweeking. I've heard that the Roland Variphrase VP-9000 is a good machine but it's a little pricey. Any info's appreciated.
