I would like to see this feature. I have no idea how hard it is to impliment but it seems a simple affair. Just invert the wave form in selection in trim window. Abit like reverse, cept wave form is inverted. No harm in asking i guess

^^what lampdog said is it. Generally you want sample to start on zero crossing point and wave should be in positive phase at start. I resample a bit and waveform will start in the negative phase, which can cause phase issue when layered ect, and generally as a rule you want them in positive phase. Hardware, and software will do it, even mixig desks have a phase flip usually, but extra hardware can introduce noise ect. And software is another step that inturupts workflow. Dont wanna have to stop, turn on computer, upload, flip, download just for simple phase flip. so as it seems simple and is a feature of old rack samplers that would be very usefull. good fun for creating your own waves as well

I note that the invert phase IS listed as a feature of the OS here. :)
But it does not have any indicationto which OS, I mean it has x as its not implemented on any OS, yet its in the list. I am guessing that means it is in the works ?? ?? ??
I dont ever remember it being listed before?

aww dont be like that. Its good cos its got a bigger screen right. Well if you sit back for a minute and ponder it, you will see its a well considered list of features in the new OS128. Yes some features are missing but its for the bigger screen. I will stick with OSXL as I like all the features I can get, and not get bigger screen. Its a shame its like that and not just JJOSXL on a bigger screen. Maybe that will happen in the future, who knows. But yeah I will be annoyed as hell if a feature I requested gets only shipped on an OS I need to buy hardware expansion to use it. Its ransom and bad way to do business in my opinion. OK im getting off topic, but in IMHO I think that stripping features is ok for bigger screen, but adding stuff to that OS only is horrible. Its making you buy something you might not want, just for a feature you do want and that is in conjunction with the hardware sellers on purpose. To me thats monopoly or mafia tactics. BUT I might be totally wrong like and this feature is in both OSXL128 and JJOSXL normal version. Its the not knowing and lack of any real info that makes me think this though. I mean if they actually told me stuff then I would not imagine everything. Still though mark my words if it does play out the way i say above I will be one very pissed of mofo and will express it forthrightly. I mean come on :smoker:

It's been almost a year...

Invert is a feature that I would still like included into the standard OS-XL.

Phase inversion of a waveform can be a very useful tool for conducting rudimentary layering techniques - among other things.

I shouldn't have to resort to my DAW to perform this function.

That being said, I do not know how difficult it would be for JJ to incorporate Invert into his OS from a programming standpoint.

I do know that the addition of an Invert option would not only expedite my workflow - it would greatly increase my capabilities in terms of layering, etc.

JJ, I know you are a busy cat.
Thanks in advance for your anticipated consideration.

Quote Murai about Invert to my inbox after Invert request.

"Your request will be added by OS3."
So unless they changed their minds, its coming. But they might have changed their mind.

And maybe its only in 128, but I am not sure, maybe they have had not enough time yet to implement it yet. Who knows but would be good to know, Who wants to ask then
hey???
So its a yes its coming but I have no idea yet when or what ?
That and the bank select by footswitch to cycle and I will ask no more. Well ok saving chord banks would be good to, but I can live with it as is with chords.
that was may 2012 but.
