Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I was poking around the internet, this page claims the sequencer can choose velocity ranges from 0%to 200%, http://sound.jp/mpc2000/oldsite/specMPC_e.html is that true? I have OS version 1.72 and I can only get it down to 1%. I'll spare the huge technical explanation but if there is any version that can do 0% velocity from the MAIN screen, it could be used to patch up multiple selected start points

it seems that page is describing the operating system 1.5, I'm trying to find it for download somewhere to see for myself but no luck. If it does in fact have the capability of 0% velocity in the main screen(doesnt stop at 1%) I will pay top dollar for the boot disk.

i doubt it... 16 levels is intended for varying velocities up to full velocity... right... cause 0 velocity = not touching the pad at all...

are you trying to use midi to trigger something without a sound coming out? cause you could always take a free pad.. assign any sound in ram to it and turn down the volume in the mixer.

er actually Im trying to clear the velocity value so it can be used to alter the start time better by the number I set to velocity--->start... but I was mistaken the % value in the main screen has no affect on the actual playing of the pads only the recorded secquences, which is easy enough edit anyway.
