Need more sounds for production keyboard or software?

I am back. I had questions earlier and thanks to everyone that helped me.

So I have an MPC 2500 I am able to make beats. But the thing is, I only use the mpc 2500 and I transfer tracks from my macbook pro to my mpc and sample. But I feel like I am limited. I need more sounds. I want a keyboard so I can play melodies and basslines etc.. so I can make my music more lively.

My brother makes beats on logic pro 9 and there are a ton of sounds/instruments and he can play melodies using the keyboard.

What do you think is the best option? Buy a keyboard or use sounds from logic (if this is possible perhaps play melodies with the sounds off logic using the pads)

I have no audio interface or any of that stuff. Again, I am a beginner. But I am making progress.

Get yourself an audio/MIDI interface and yes you can play Logic software instruments with your pads and record the MIDI events with your MPC sequencer (or within Logic, or both).
