heres yet another pad sensitivity question - should be an easy one
ive just received a 2500 with standard pads (as an upgrade replacement from my 1000 with the corx kit)..
And (by comparison and obviously) it feels like ive gotta really bash the pads to get them to full velocity even with velocity sensitivity up at 25.. so obviously ill be purchasing an upgrade to the thick pads ASAP..
however if some pads feel less responsive than others, the ones that have most likely taken a beating from the previous owner (some even feel flatter than others) - is that a pad thing or a pad sensor thing ie will just replacing the pads even things up or do i need to replace the pad sensor..
all pads are being "sensed" as such, none seem to be triggering any of the others - but i just have to bash it at various levels which feels wrong.
obviously i dont want to spend the 75 on the new pad sensors if i dont have to - but i also dont want to double up on postage if i get new thick pads and theres still problems.
in other news im pissed that the ebay seller listed it as being basically brand new and hardly used, in perfect condition.. while it looks great, the pads are s**t and half the tact switches are fuct..ive got no problems fixing them, apart from the time involved, but still - if only there was some kind of official standard for advertising used MPC's as an auction..like when people advertise JJosxl installed but no password (didnt happen to me but i came accross a few in my search) - whats the point!
anyway rant over.
*** edit.. Just bought the thick black pads with the corx only...if that don't work I'll get the sensors separately ..so time will tell
