Hello everyone,ive been playing the mpc now for a little over a year now just by sampling vinyl.So this weekend I plan to step things up and pick up abelton live 8.My question is once I start using abelton for a sound module,recording,ect.Will I still be able to select my drum and sample programs ive already created while running this set up?sorry about the noob question but using a daw is all new to me,up until now ive just used audacity to record with.Thanx in advance for any help

Programs ive already created im talking about what I have saved my cf card I want to use abelton combined with the programs ive already created with my,mpc

The answer is yes to all your questions. You may want to get an audio interface to have enough inputs to the computer/recording program from the MPC. Most of these have a MIDI interface built in. At the very least you will need a basic USB to MIDI connection so the MPC's MIDI in and outs can be connected to the computer and recording software.

You would run the PGM's inside the MPC, record the audio (and MIDI if you want) to the computer. Use additional PGM's to send MIDI to instruments in Live. Either record the MPC sequenced instruments from Live in Live or sample their output into the MPC if you want those sounds to work with when the MPC is running by itself.

Thanx so much,I already have a m-audio uno midi to usb device but sounds like I would want to step up into a full fledged audio interface,thanx again very helpful information
