What effect does a +/- % adjustment have in terms of key?

Is there a direct relationship between the two?

Like a 1% adjustment being equal to a semi-tone.

I'm looking for a systematic way of matching samples rather than doing it just by ear.

the pitch control adjust the SPEED of the record +4% = 33.33333 RPM + 4% of that 33.33333 (wich is 1.333333) = 34.666666 RPM

Now the concert pitch of the middle A is 440Hz. So if the A play at 33 1/3 and you will add the 4% it will be :

440 / 33.333333 * 34.666666666

457.59 Hz

this is A# +31cent


..... hope there is no error in reasoning in this



well beside this you wont be able to get a correct pitch by the numbers that are printed on the turntable scale. The pitch fader has to be calibrated exactly and you still won't be able to set the fader to an exact position to get a specific tune.

word^^^ u will neve get scale perfectly... what i do to offset this when scratching notes on scale is record what ever sample i need in a full scale(usually run it through a keyboard for this) and then cut on serato so i dont have to **** with pitch every two seconds.

there are some dope resource records for exactly this application ..i swear by them.
demo(not my vid) notice the turntable too (controller on by vestax..designed by rikki rucker and dstyles) ...but those are alot of money for what you can do useing other simpler methods.
