MPC2000XL Not reading PC formatted Zip Disks

I just recently bought an 2000XL with a floppy and I upgraded it by adding an 250MB IDE Zip drive, but everytime I insert an 100MB PC Formatted Zip Disk in it, it does not recognize it, what is the cause of this?

Or format the ZIP drive out of the MPC

the best advice anyone can give you is honestly try to find any option other than zip.

your drive or your disks could be dead.

and if not now, one day, they will die.
