Only in the sense that a feature found in nearly every sampling workstation ever created is finally being added to Maschine.

They target people just starting out. :(

The bundled sound library should be the least of people's concern.

The money maker for Akai will be repackaging, enhancing and selling all the Sonivox sounds separately.

I agree.

The fact you can save an individual program with all its sounds. Sampling drum machines having been doing this since the 80's.

I would be nice if one of Akai reps could answer a few of these questions If they could.

From reading other threads I can see why. Hope they come back for those of us that have questions about the ren.

Hopefully they have a good library because the Maschine sounds are seriously good. I use a lot of the drum kits. I want to say almost every beat I've made with Maschine this far has had drum sounds from their library.

yeah went to a friend studio the other day. Dude hasn't bought a library yet. His sounds are just off the chain. Thats my only concern with the ren

You guys do know these are samplers? It's not a faux pas to load those same Maschine samples (they are wav files) into the Ren.

Having Maschine, Battery, Reason, legacy MPC drum kits, Mach 5, Kontakt, Emulator X, multiple keyboard workstations, Giga Sampler, MPC Samples, Arturia Vintage Drum Maschines, etc., plus the Ren library....drum kits/instrument samples are the very least of my worries about the Ren.

Well Jah I think we are in a time that people dont wanna buy tons of stuff wether its hardware or software .Most people are now into one stop shop .In my opinion the library is very important .

I think he was getting at that it's still a "sampler" where you can build your own library. Don't "need" to buy a library. You can sample from vinyl, internet, radio, wherever, free sounds all over. I've sampled a salt shaker taped to a mic before. It's a sampler, get to sampling if you must.

As a 15 year MPC user, a 6 GB sample library is the least important thing for me. I have so many sounds on CDs/DVDs that I haven't even gone through all of them yet. This includes Maschine. As a Maschine user, I am about to give NI $200 for Komplete 8 (gross grade for Maschine users)...that is another 110 GB of sounds I can use with the Ren.

Dont get wrong yeah I sample. Im just stating some of the strengths others like Ren have. Im more of a tweaker. On a real you to hook me up with that shaker lol.
