mpc zip to pc zip with cubase?????????????????????

in what format should i be saving sounds in the mpc to open them on my pc zip drive in cubase or nuendo. i tried saving them as a wav.,but the computer says it cant recognize them when i try to open them.
i want to add effects to my sounds and i dont want to buy the efx for mpc.
theres has to be a way to do this.

Format your zip drive in your PC. Save your files as WAV files from your MPC and you'll have no problems - this is the way I do it. If it still doesn't read the files, there is probably a problem with the disk or the drive

thanks for the tip i got that to work in soundforge.but in cubase and nuendo it tells me its an invalid project file"sample-1wav"!
any other ideas im still new to computer music programs

Perhaps you need to import them. The open dialog is probably meant to open projects only, not individual files.
