I rarely autochop, but when going through a particular long sample like waveform pic above I may use sf10 like I mentioned to find notes that I wouldn't find just listening through the song.

I haven't used reaper to chop yet (only multitrack) but you guys got me interested and I might just follow along with that gif and see what's up with it. Thanks for the tutorial.

Auto-Chop is great when you're beat-blocked though. Just toss in a 10 sec instrumental and try to make a beat. I can tell you that you'll make shit you never thought....****!
