Footswitches

Who uses foot switches and what do you usually use them for?

I use it occasionally for live stuff - just to change from bank A to B. I always wished Akai would have an update where you could have the footswitch scroll through you're banks though .. like one tap = B, two taps = C, 3 taps = D, 4 taps would take you back to A again and onwards...

Anything you guys ever wished you could do with the footswitches though? I hardly ever see anyone using them and just wanted to see who does what?

i have a little wire contraption that is a standard tact switch to a 1/4" TS plug.. works just like a footswitch would but for a second location somewhere on a desktop for controlling overdub&play start generally

im hoping one day JJ implements all of the MPC buttons assignable to footswitch as well as midi.. so that it would be possible to have 2 spare assignable switches in case of any dead/dying.

like for example right now my 'main' switch doesnt work, so any time i want to get back to main screen i have to press 'input thru' twice.. would be awesome to be able to assign it to footswitch and use my little external one until i get around to replacing the switch.
