that wasnt hard was it? the thing is all these phase inverting plugs are based on the same theory that karaoke machines are, and arent perfect. id go into details but i doubt too many bong heads on here would understand so id be wasting my breath. no offence but thems the breaks

You can always tell when someone samples a CD or a re-issue. The mastering is different, and the left/right channels are equal. If people want to sample CD's...fine. I don't care. Just don't get mad when people call it out or 50 other people downloaded the same mp3 as you... I'm not going to sit here and say it's against ethics etc... But I sure as hell am not giving you p's for it...

When you sample a re-issue or an mp3 you're not doing anything other than racing another producer to the finish. If I hear your beat and call our your break...really...that's not tight. Maybe it is in some peoples' eyes, but not mine.

Kanye doesn't care if it's an MP3 or a CD or anything...and all the power to him. Do I agree? No...and I paid like him? Hell no. Is he right? I don't think so, but maybe I'm wrong also...

The fact that Jesus Walks came out 2 years before the Kanye lp and the beat and the rhymes are IDENTICAL as the Kanye version is wack to me. It's one thing to have a ghost producer and ghost writer, but don't start telling people you did the song for Jesus and because of your beliefs when you didn't even write the fu@k'n lyrics or make the beat...... Before anyone starts telling me I'm an idiot...

go to www.bmi.com (the publishing house). Look up Jesus Walks. You're notice Kanye gave up the writing and production credit to someone else.

So...to all those who think this is ok...get your money...apparently being an artist isn't as important as telling people you are one....

I own a standalone unit. It was made in the 80's for vinyl. It's called a "Thompson". I got it off ebay used for $60 US a few years back. My boy got one for $100. They are pretty good but take some tweaking. I've used the Analog X and I couldn't get the same results. I was able to remove way more with the standalone, plus I kept more bass etc. I find on all the software packages it works better with CD's, and the standalone with vinyl...although it makes no sense at all when you know how it's working. Maybe it was just chance or luck.

It's also possible to create accapella's if you work backwards. I have done it, so for everyone who says it's impossible...they're either lying or under educated. I'm not trying to offend anyone, but I've done it. It is pretty indepth, and I can point you to an article that will explain in detail. I had to follow the lead of a Harvard Prof. It takes a while, but I have an accapella that nobody else does...except for the artist. You will never have a completly clean accapella (just voice and reverb) *BUT* I promise you won't hear the old music once layered on newer music....

actually he has a songwriting/composing credit for jesus walks...maybe you are looking at the original song, but he has a credit for it, which means he has checks...and can anybody tell me why it matters what u sample from? and as far as that goes, does anybody here us their equipment to make an ORIGINAL composition, as in ORIGINAL melody and countermelody and drums and bassline?

[i]Your right most older records and maybe up until the early 90's cd's you can lift accs, or instrumentals. It depends on how they were mixed. I did a mix tape project for someone and I got accs, and intrs off of Juicy J & DJ Paul tracks. Just play with your mixer. It works better if you have left & rights on your mixer.[/i]
