Well put. I believe the same thing. When you have passion for a product, you put your heart and soul into it.

I am very passionate about MPCs. I jump at any opportunity I get to help advance the MPC line..whether its beta testing or helping forum members get the most out of their MPCs.

Take for instance the inventor and sound engineer Roger Mayer, who is the man most responsible for the sound of Modern rock. He worked with Jimi Hendrix to come up with the EFX pedals that would help create the sounds in Jimi's head... look at all the awesome music that came from that great mixture of technology and creative genius! And without the interplay of the creative genius of these two men, music would sound very different, and who knows, maybe "rock n roll" woulda died on the vine...at any rate, it would be a strangely bland world without Hendrix...

...I say that AKAI needs to work with some passionate musicians to really become the pacesetters in the game. Only then will they be able to make the gear that helps artists create the music of the future...

I don't know exactly to what extent...but they have consulted with numerous musicians/producers when designing the Ren.

Hey Man, I stumbled onto this youtube video, and it got me thinking...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Cf7IL_eZ38

Im a big Miles Davis freak, and I was watching some of his live at the Fillmore West concert videos, and they had a snippet of a interview with his former band members, and Ill never forget what one of his Sax-players of the time said to Miles. He asked "Hey Miles, why do you have me out in front every night, playing those long, weird solos? I dont even know if the people understand what were doing."

Miles responds: "People dont listen to music when they come to a concert. They Listen with their EYES. They want to SEE fingers MOVING FAST"

This was a deep revelation to me, as it should be to all the other digital and electronic musicians on this site, as well as the people who design and build these instruments for us. We have this immense amount of power under our fingers, We can feel it, the circle of creative musical genius embracing us when were caught up making music in the heights of inspiration. "LOOK! we made something NEW!

But how do we get the audience on our side, so they can share some of this joy?
We gotta have digital instruments that they audience can SEE us, FINGERS moving FAST! The new generation of whatever controller has to be a clear touch-screen, and it has to be played standing up, so the audience can see all of the lights and colors on the screen being played!

Whoops, gotta go, the nurse says its time for me to take my MEDS...

This is the FUTURE of technological integration of music, human senses, and computer processing........

http://leapmotion.com/

You see what you can do with leap.... Now check out this sequencer, synthesizer, DAW.

Now imagine when developers create "air" instruments and synths like MPC's and keyboards.... We will be playing them in mid air. AMAZING.. I've already ordered my leap motion. I thought I was onto something until I noticed the boys overs at gearslutz THINK just like me.... :hmmm:

FORGOT THIS EPISODE 2/10
:hmmm:
At 21 harmonics we obtain a waveform
reasonably square. :smoker:

DON'T TALK ME ABOUT TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION
