yup soon as i saw the fly i said thats the app thats gonna make me buy an ipad,

i aint **** with the studio no point when i have machine.

but yeah wann se more of the ren i got a feeling that they gonna supe up the interface of the software cos it looked more like a beta mockup with unfinished graphics, u cant release software like that in this day and age (the functionality was there) but the shit was not easy on the eye looking all windows 3.1ish

I don't think it looks that bad, but I'm used to a lot of ugly GUI's in this industry so maybe I'm just used to it. But I could see some room for improvement. Maybe they will let you change the color scheme like Live. Although 99% of those skins are retina scarring.

This is like only the fifth GUI Akai has ever made, look at their 4 VST's from 2002 if you really wanna see ugly.

dont mind the colour scheme and like the fact that its clearly laid out but the graphics dont look slick at all, in this era easy on the eye smooth daws like logic i just feel they need to smooth things out

Ren and Logic uses similar similar colors...shades of grey. As far as Logic looking slick? I don't find anything in Logic that stands out. I am actually partial to Nuendo/Cubase.

maybe slick aint the right word but the graphic style has a more modern look then the ren which was the general pint to make, the look of the ren software had the unfinished beta mock-up look graphically.

I don't see why anyone wants to buy a fly being as tho you can't make a full beat on it, if its just for the Ipad you would have to get, then why not just buy an Ipad because I don't see nothin serious coming out of the fly.

that's relative. whose to say you can make a full beat? do you always need 48+ tracks to make a "full" beat?

Me too. I use Cubase with a grey background. Just updated my system to full HD. Cubase looks slick.

Yo so how will this work if you already have another dedicated audio interface? This is where I'm lost on the REN. I'd love to know this, guess it's time to call sweetwater! :-D
