I'm sure there will be a parameter in the software that will allow you to switch the audio interface.

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought it had a max of only 4 tracks, for me no, I want more but not to say I couldn't just like do skeleton type beats on it, and then finish it on somethin else, yes I could do tht. But to answer ur question yes u need more than 4 tracks to make a full beat, not necessarily 48+, but yes more than 4. But I don't Idk, I dnt like it really, sorry. nah, i hear ya. all i'm saying is don't limit yourself. Although the fly will only have 4 tracks, don't limit your thought process. you will then have to think outside the box on how you want to do your song. you can have 4 tracks (mix them the way you want) mix that down, import that back in on a new song, now you have 3 more track you can add to. mix that down, import that back in on a new song, now you have 3 more tracks............ i know it's a lot of work just to get a song done but that's one way of thinking outside the 4 track limitation.

and i mentioned 48+ tracks just for an example.

I understand my friend. But I'm just not interested in the fly, I'm a Ren kinda guy, maybe a studio for traveling.

You can should be able to use the Ren's audio interface or your dedicated audio interface.

if the ren forces you to use its audio interface, then just route the outputs of the ren into your main interface

The only way I see anyone using the Ren tht has outboard gear, keyboards, instruments, etc is to not use the rens outputs. Those people are going to use another dedicated interface. Anyone tht works strickly inside of their computer, (with vst's) are gonna really have any reason or need to use Ren's sound card.
