Hi! Trying to format floppy disc but only i see is - disk not ready. you must format it

Tried old and new floppies, but no results. I can load a program and samples. When i try to format it gives me 100% and everything is ok. But i can't save no sample or pgm. HELP!!! :shock:

The s950 is very selective in diskdrives. It takes that teac disk drive only.
Somebody replaced the diskdrive by a flash/sd converter, but he had to do a lot of technical mods to make it work. Try to search for it. That thread is still somewhere around.

Of course the HxC Floppy Emulator works with the S950, there are several people using it on the S950...
(one example : http://www.mpchunter.com/s950/akai-s950 ... -emulator/ )
"lot of technical mods" is a little over acting here ;).
The only mod to do it to add a 2.2k resistors on the data line. The Rev F HxC Floppy emulator have the footprint on the PCB to make this easily.
You can also ask Lotharek to add it directly.

FYI this mod also works with standard floppy disk drive ;)

Then technology goes faster than my knowledge on this!

Had to order a special floppy drive at VST 3years ago cause there wasn't really an alternative back then.

And sorry, any technical mod is too much for me :oops:
