Wow, you seem keen & eager, you must be a morning person.

Anyways, you need to get some samples into your MPC. Hook up your MPC to your PC with the USB & drop in some samples (16bit 44.1khz WAVs only tho). Then turn off all your computers & just play with your MPC, then you'll see what its all about. :smoker: . Just have a couple of weeks playing and then you'll probably know where to go after that.

You will have to study the manual for a bit. If you haven't got the book then you'll find a pdf on the link at the top.

Be careful to ask questions on the forum only if you're really stuck. Lots of guys get hacked off if you are using the forum like an on-line manual  . Also do some searches on this forum for stuff. Lots of questions have been answered a hundred times already.

As for the speakers, if you are wanting that lo sound then you have to do subwoofers, there's no other way round it. Do a search on the forum about monitors you'll get some good info. Also try Sound-on-sound magazine site, its excellent for techy questions.

Have fun, i'm sure you'll pick it up really quickly. :-D

Welcome to the forums!

Right, could you be more specific? You have a usb cable plugged into what at the other end? An MPC? Which OS (JJ or Akai)? Is there a card pushed into the card slot? Which PC operating system?

When asking questions please try to be more specific because otherwise people will either not bother answering, or they'll just suggest you Google or read the manual.

If you want the general lowdown on using Reason with your MPC, check out my book, it explains most required concepts and set up details etc

There's one for pro tools as well:

If you have specific questions about anything, post them here.

Regarding your Pro Tools question, well again, what do you mean by 'what's the version'? Latest version? Best version for you?
