It makes a huge difference. It def keeps everything in sync converter wise & makes its presence known sonically. I would only say that if you don't have a lot of gear that needs an external clock, then don't waste your time investing in one.

But if you're like me and have multiple & additional devices that require external clocking, then it's a worthy investment.

Plus, here's a couple of pics showing a piece of what I do when I master a lil bit (hardware only shown at the moment of course).

Plus I need to get my hands on two 75 ohm bnc w/c termination adapters. My two layla's which are clocked via the apogee, have w/c bnc thru connectors that are in need of termination, since I won't be using these connections at all.

The big ben will let you know what's terminated when something's connected to it.

The only thing that's terminated thus far is the finalizer.

I really need to post up some new studio pics. The last ones where from when I was back in England 2 years ago.
Now I got shit everywhere. I got so many electrical projects that I need to complete. I start on something, take a break and then move on to something else to fix or mod.
I got a half finished Technics 1200 torn apart for the power cord mod,
a TR-626 taken apart that I have to troubleshoot for no power,
a Microtech PCD-47B SCSI card reader that I need to solder 2 connection pins to the flash card slot that are broken off but are fkn microscopic,
my ASR is having some weird ass sounds coming from it so I'l have to tear into that too,
I have my MV torn apart to add faster internal IDE to 7200 RPM SATA I hdd just to see if it will work and not bottle neck,
and then the TR808 spring clean of pots and a broken flat ribbon cable.
And my wife says I still got to mow the lawn. lol

@delaporte: this spot looks very comfortable and i imagine you have a nice view out of that big window, but unless you are a very small person it looks like the tweeters of your speakers are placed way to low. did you try setting up the speakers vertical? most of the time this particular speakers sound better that way and the sweet spot is a little wider, also.
