MPC Ren's Vintage Mode Revealed

Slightly at the 5 minute mark. Pretty good overview overall.



My questions is why can't this thing be simply a sampling drum machine, with advanced sampling capabilities for the hardcore sampler and focus on doing those jobs to perfection.The MPC has become way too convoluted and attempts to do way too many things than it should. Just My Opinion. In music, simplicity is genius. We'll see how simple and intuitive this software is when it drops.

It's impossible to tell from the vid what the vintage mode actually sounds like, but the waveform editing on the lcd looks ****' rubbish. :evil:

Ndeeed. In May I got a chance to create on the software. Beforehand I was curious but not sold on how well the software would run. I was impressed by exactly that, how intuitive it is while remaining easy to understand. I'm sure since then, there have been some changes and upgrades though, so we'll see.

I think it'll be as simple as you make it. Use it for 5 functions or use it for 50. The options will be there.

Because technology and competition moves us forward. You can always stay with your current mpc/maschine/gemini-ds24.

Yeah I just don't like the whole one stop shop, jack of all trades/master of none Machines.

LMAO! All they added was VST capability. Other than that, it does everything previous MPCs are capable of and really nothing much more, just in a computer environment. Nothing "one stop shop" or "jack of all trades" about it. Doesn't even have audio tracks like previous MPC's have.

Is that all they added?? You and JAH are hilarious. AKAI should post you all's picture o. The MPC REN box like the Cream of Wheat man. You all promote their products to no end.

This is def not a True MPC outside of the 16 pads.4k and 2.5k were the last of that breed.

Hellfire right tho, I didnt see anything revolutionary about this than what you can already do with mpc 2500 and JJ for cheaper...outside of VST support, time stretch and lit up pads..with 1200 you can get mpc 2500 for around 6bills, JJ OS, digi 02, reaper and still got some money left over...where is the selling point of Ren, vintage modes ?
