Currently I believe its blue or white (that's the options I was offerred) - can't say for sure though, that would be up to Mike, I guess it depends on how well the first batches sell.

I believe he showed a black version earlier in this topic, it's just the white one inverted, not sure if it's 'user configurable' or has to be set up before its shipped.

I notice that it takes a few ms for the LCD to refresh when changing modes.

There is some very, very small lag compared to the standard screen, but it's nothing like the lag you get on an MPC5000. Basically if you'd never seen the original screen in action, you wouldn't even notice anything. And I don't really see any difference at all when doing other stuff like scrolling, trimming etc.
I'll try to show the (lack of) lag in some video asap - but video does tend to exaggerate these things.
