I normal flip the sample and incorporate a loop at random points, gotta keep people guessing what's coming next :nod:

i dont worry about how many chops i have, thats a waste of time.

just chop the sound u want to chop(key thing! attack, and decay)

you can make chops soooooooo much smoother if you use attack and decay extensively.

i wouldnt worry about if this too many or is this too little cause it doesn't matter, what matters is the final product.

I contributed the fact that I only use chops-not disputing the idea of too each his own though, what **** neighborhoods you living in? :shock:

I dont get why the most of you guys chop so much, I prefer just sampling 1 note that I need ( or in the case of drums, kick snare and hat separate)
sampling the whole loop is just data on my su700 being there for nothing..

if you are only grabbing one sample for each snare, kick and hat then the drums will have very little variance and won't sound as realistic as if you grabbed multiple samples and velocity switched them. the drums will sound very 90s
