my interface has phono ins and a built in preamp for turntables, and im trying to play my turntable through, and im not getting any sound from the turntable. i plugged my sp 303 and mpc into the other inputs, and i get sound from them, but absolutely nothing with my turntable.

any suggestions?

the interface is the ALESIS IO26

the turntable is the NUMARK TT-200

tried it again and still couldnt get anything. BUT, my other machines are working just find with the interface (ie sound output)

on my old mixer, the tt-200 worked just fine though

yep...its flipped to PHONO

im thinking the inputs are fvcked up....i plugged other machines into inputs 7/8, and got nothing. so it must be the inputs not working..

Do you have another turntable to try, phono in the rear and phono in 7/8?

If the other tt works then it's the first tt that has problems.
If the 2nd tt doesn't work then it's the inputs on the mixer.

Test the turntable by plugging it into the inputs you had the SP303 running through. Test the Phono input by plugging the SP303 into it. That way you can determine whether the problem is with the interface or the turntable.

Check the audio input preferences within your DAW or whatever you're trying to record into.
