mpc 2500 se + Korg Microkorg recording?

hey...

i will get a mpc 2500 se and a korg microkorg analog synthesizer.
so my question is:

can i simply put the korg into the "record in" of the mpc and play the synthesizer while the beat is playing from the mpc?
when i recorded my play of the korg in the mpc, does the mpc play that in loop directly, without stoping the beat between recording and playing?

yes to the first question.
turn 'input thru' on so you can hear the korg playing through the mpc. then you have two options for recording. a) record as a sample and assign to pads w/or w.out chopping. b) record as an audio track.
no to the second question.

as lampdog says, learn some midi basics and you'll open up a few more avenues for using the two machines together.
