MPC1000 Purchase Cardiff

Hello Forum,
I'm seriously thinking of purchasing an MPC1000 and I live in Cardiff area. Can anyone tell me which retailer I can go to, to see this product live and in action?

Best bet would be to get in contact with music equipment retailers in and around the Cardiff area, they might be able to recommend retailers to you.

I was in cardiff in april and brought my 2500 with me with hopes of selling it there, never got around posting ad nowhere

I followed the link that you sent me, thank you for that and I've mad enquiries at Cranes' and Gamlin's which I know are the biggest music stores in Cardiff and none of them sold the item; the chap from Gamlin's also told me he couldn't think of anyone in Cardiff that sells the MPC.

I think you'll struggle, it's an old piece of gear now. You may be better trying to find someone from these forums in Cardiff who'll hopefully let you have a try with their own MPC1000.

Anyway, it's a great bit of kit - you can pick them up on ebay new or used so if you don't like it you can probably re-sell it for only a small loss. Make sure you get the black one as it's more likely to have the upgraded pads (I'm not sure if the black MPC1000s ever shipped with the rubbish pads, someone may be able to confirm).

Yeah, black MPC1000s originally shipped with the old style pads.
I believe ones with the black back plate had the updated pads from new although many older units have had the upgrade now.

take a little drive to Bristol, they have them in Digital Village

No problems, hope for find one. Tutor is spot on the money, Ebay is worth a shot, maybe able to find an used 1k in great shape for a good price

If your looking at the black model, ask the seller if the rear panel is black, if it is your got the 1k with the pad upgrade
