What software features of current/legacy MPCs (to include the JJOS) would you like to see included in the MPC Ren?

As an existing MPC user, I'd like to see all features from the entire MPC range incorporated into the MPC Software. So just like the MPC3000 sound emulation, we'd have pure MPC2000XL OS emulation mode, where the MPC Software basically becomes an MPC2000XL OS (while optionally retaining all the extra goodies that the Ren can offer).

Actually, make the features customisable so I can pick and choose which legacy MPC OS features I want and basically create my own custom OS (without all the bugs of course). So for example, I'd want the classic STEP EDIT mode, MPC5000 pad layer cycles, JJOS audio tracks, NDC, VST instrument inserts onto tracks, full legacy export compatibility (export as SND in MPC3000 format PGMs etc), MPC4000 (i.e. Z series) sampling capabilities etc etc.

Add to that a customisable skin so it will even look like the MPC of my choice, and I'd be very happy.

Yes, I know it will never happen. But in the end, this may be the only way most of us can all be truly happy with the MPC Software.

The MPC 4000's Quick FX is among the functions I want most in Sample Record Mode. I like sampling through effects. I want to take this further...and have the MPC sample through insert VST effects.

+1
An flexible OS so you can "build" your own one out of a feature/behaviour list of any MPC would be.................unbelivable and unaffordable (especially with this company and in these times)......but truly dope ;)

Ren should have set of best features each model of MPC line is known for... xept the 5000, they can skip that one or Ren users will be busy looking for workarounds and begging for OS update instead of making music

DAMN Gertie is going in....

I would just like to be able to export a project created on a REN to another MPC like a 4k or a 2kXL.

Like if I where export it... the software would create the basic .PGM, .SEQ, and samples etc. where appropriate and be able to load them in my standalone MPC.

Of course I want this to work in the opposite way too. I want to be able to import projects from my MPC to the REN software.

That makes no sense. Users have complained about the OS of every MPC since the 4000. That would leave us with only the MPC 60, 3000, 2000, and 2000XL. Most, if not all, of the features of these MPCs have been added to the more recent MPCs.

The MPC 5000 has multiple features that should be included in the Ren(not all inclusive; one or more features may be included in other MPCs:
1. Hard disk audio tracks w/graphic waveform editing
2. Automation throughout the OS
3. Advanced TC/Swing (Realtime timing correct, Swing triplets, Strength/Window)
4. Undo/Redo while sequencer is recording as well as sample edit processing
5. Multipad Edit
6. Arp
7. VA Synth (or VA plugins designed specifically for the Ren)
8. Step Record from Main Mode
9. Track Lock
10. Grid Edit Mode
11. Qlinks - customizable to send MIDI CC messages to external synths
12. Export audio tracks in 24 bit
13. Track Mixer with routable outputs
14. Qlinks control Mixer params

Another MPC 5000 feature I would like for the Ren to have is the ability to build Programs while in Sample Edit/Trim Mode.
