Set your Q-Link slider to tempo. Move slider and change tempo. Much easier than your suggestion I think.

nope, with the q-slider it is hard to adjust the tempo in comparison to the data wheel. Besides I don't want to waste a q-slider for tempo adjustment.

of course. It would be a different thing if the Q-slider could adjust the tempo in whole increments, still that would mean I'd have to dedicate it to tempo adjustments.
