AKAI Minak with the MPC 2500 does it work ?

I already have an Mpc 2500 and I want to buy the Akai Miniak .
Can I connect the AKAI Miniak with the Mpc and the Sound Samples on the Miniak will played ?
And the MPC record this sound like I am playing these
( I know some stupid Question but I want only get sure before I buy this)

You can hook them together thru midi.
Record the midi events into the mpc's sequencer by playing the maniaks keys. When you playback the recorded midi events they will trigger the sounds exactly how you played and recorded them.

The manual will explain you exactly how to hook and set things up. Otherwise you can also look on youtube. Guess there will be a tutorial.

Other option would be sampling the maniaks outs into the mpc.
