Hey guys, When I tried to record a sample today, it only recorded for a second and automatically stopped. I turned my MPC off and back on thinking that maybe somehow the ROM was full and needed to be cleared and it did it again. I checked the ROM and there are files in there and I pressed clear and it gave me the warning and I hit do it but the files are still there. Can someone please help with this. Thank you.

I never adjusted that before and didn't have a problem. But I did look at that and tried to change it but it only let me increase it to 6 seconds.

do you have any "auto load" files on your CF card or the internal ROM? if so, when you turn on your mp, it will load all of the files in the auto load file and fill up your RAM. if it's a lot, then that will leave you very little space to record anything. from the sounds of what you are saying, this sounds like the case.

Try turning auto load off and then remove the CF card and then turn off/on the mpc then try to sample. see if that works.

if you don't know, here's how to turn auto load off:

01. Press [F3] (UTIL).
02. The UTILITY page will be opened.
03. In the 'Function' field, select AUTOLOAD
04. In the 'Autoload' field, select 'OFF'.
05. Press [F6] (DO IT).
The next time the MPC starts, nothing will be preloaded.
