Hello,

I checked the manual and did a quick search on the forum and could not find out how to get my 5K to send out tracks to my DAW via ADAT. I see how to do this by program or pads I guess but I actually want to send them out based on sequencer tracks.

Is this possible?

Oh yeah, I will have read about how to do this. The problem I have now is that I can't hear the audio being sent via ADAT. It is distorted and extremely low volume. I tried other buffer settings and they are silent only sound comes when buffers are at 256. So my idea of easy tracking with my new M-Audio Profire 2626 is not working out very well. Gomna have figure it out or come up with a different solution. Anyone work with the 2626?

Windows is current with all SP's, latest drivers installed for the audio interface. Starting to think there may be a problem with the audio card. I mean unless there is something wrong with MPC but I really have no way to test. Need to find some type of effective and efficient way to track out.

I returned this audio interface. Apparently it is faulty. I will wait for a new one to come in or try a diff brand. What are you folks using for ADAT tracking?

Oh, I also wondered if you can track out 8 ADAT tracks and 8 Audio tracks at the same time for a total of 16 outs?

I could not try this with the unit I had and while I am waiting for a new one I figured I would ask.

Where in your menus can you route 9-16?

Fair question, the answer is nowhere.....
I thought perhaps there may have been an aditional option once adat is connected and working properly (which I have yet to do) like digital 1-8 or some special type combination with other outputs such as the 1/2 3/4.

There are many little tricks that this machine can do that may not appear obvious. Never thought there was harm in asking.

Thanks for your reply tho :|

No harm in asking, just gotta dig deeper and understand your hardware a little more is all.

adat mirrors the 8 outs. adat is a digital mirror representation of the 8 outs is all.

Make sure you go through that manual for the new interface. You really need to figure out the strengths and weakness of gear you have so that you can make the most out of it as you go along. I can't stress that enough. Experiment and learn. We've all went through that.
