Sample CD's from eBay???

I got a few of those CDs from eBay. They were alright. You'll do better getting sounds yourself.

Lets just say I will never get another Sample CD from eBay !

I've bought a few sample cd's from Ebay, some were crap, some were good. My best one is a cd with all the old drum machines .wavs. About 15 roland machines, Korg, Casio, Yamaha, Alesis and many more.. paid about $10 for it. When it comes to drum sounds, anything is good. I have not hear a drum machine/keyboard that had sound which didn't require any tweaking. If your looking for something like that, you'll be searching for a while. Sure you can buy sounds from S4S and shell out some bucks, but you can also create the same sounds from those generic samples that you guys hate. Generic or not, if you layer a plain snare with a clap and a plain cymbal, it ain't gonna sound too generic anymore..naahmean? ANd by the time you put them same sounds through the mixer, adjust the levels, them same plain sounds will be like the same thing you would pay for.

S4S does have some nice sounds, so I'm not trying to shyt on them.

I don't know if anyone else peeped this but I was looking to get some new soundfont sounds to replace my gm kit on sb live card so I have a better scratch pad. I went to http://www.soundfont.com and they have assortment of soundfonts, one caught my eye, it's called pure phatt it's a 25mb soundfont of mo phatt sounds. The quality is tight. The only thing is if you want to use in a regular sampler you need CDXtract or something like it and it will export the sounds, programs, multis and keymaps to whatever sampler format you have or to .wav. It's like 40 bucks and takes 2 minutes to download on cable modem. It was worth it to me, because I was just going to buy a mo phatt sample the sounds and return it anyway.

I BOUGHT AT LEAST 5 SAMPLE CD'S OF EBAY FOR UNDER $10, THEY WERE ALL WACK, BUT THEN I BOUGHT ONE FROM THIS GUY NAMED THE JEWELERYMASTER ON EBAY CALLED HIPHOP/RNB VOL 1 , THE SOUNDS ARE SO GOOD, LIKE THE DRUM SOUNDS FROM RKELLY'S "FIESTA REMIX
' I USE THAT CD EVERY DAY, ITS LIKE $30 BUT WELL WORTH IT, EVEN THOUGH I DIG VINYL 4 MOST OF MY DRUMS, THE CD IS A GOOD TOOL AND DONT WORRY ABOUT THE KICK DRUMS YOU CAN LAYER THEM AND ADD FX LATER ON WHEN YOU MIX. IF A SAMPLE CD IS CHEAP THE SOUNDS ARE CHEAP TOO.
