say you have multiple recorded tracks already on the mpc 1000 (ie, drums=tr1, snares=tr2, hats=tr3, sample=tr4)

and you have this whole track playing together coming from the Main outs of the mpc 1000 , going into a mixer channel.

if you want to single a certain track out (say tr4=sample) and hit SOLO, that its the only track playing, can this track be sent out the assignable outs at the same volume as the main outs into a seperate sample (the sp 303)?

what i'd like to do is...first record and sequence in the mpc 1000 and send the main outs to a mixer so that i can hear and monitor everything in the mpc 1000 together. then once i have everything sequenced out, using the assignable outputs, I can solo each single track (drums, snares, sample, etc.) and "multitrack you could say" into the Sp 303, add FX...and then run the Sp 303 Main outs into a channel on my mixer and record those wet tracks into my DAW and do my final arranging in there.

is this possible?

the main outs of the mpc1000 into a mixer channel to monitor everything and the assignable outs would act as a seperate main out to go into the sp 303 inputs for fx and then finally the sp 303 outputs into another mixer channel to record into audacity

its important to remember, at least in the akai os, assignable outs are done by PAD - not by track.
this seems strange at first but it actually makes a lot of sense - this way your bass drum across ALL tracks can come out the same out.
i believe in jjos xl you can route tracks to outs...not sure about on akai os on these new ones (dont think so).

but yes you can do exactly what you want but you do realise that if the sounds are on separate outputs, there is no need to 'solo' them. :!:

should have worded it differently, i didnt really mean tracks, i meant solo for each particular sound that i want to send out (ie solo the bassdrum, then solo all the hats, etc. )

but i think you answered it for me, thanks

also... with the 1000 (free jjos) are you able to send out the assignable outs and then monitor with the main outs at the same time?

and if you wanted to send out stereo using the assignable outputs, you would have to use outputs 1 & 2 and then pan them accordingly, correct?

Hardware.

Stereo is 2 channel, each individual out is a mono channel.
