Since the only stupid question is the one that is never asked, do you think this will quite possibly work within a MPC2000XL?

Granted, it does have a 40-pin IDE interface. Yet the USB 2.0 port is what worries me. Any thoughts or critiques? I have an external Zip drive. I also have another MPC2K-XL with an internal zip. I just want to be able to upgrade without losing the floppy option. I know many people that have MPC2000, 60(60-II), and 3000 floppies, not to mention the S-series floppies, too. Thanks in advance!
