outside of the insight into the MPC Ren, the most entertaining parts of these videos are the not-so subliminal shots at the competition. Gotta love competition. Reminds of the first commercials I saw of Burger King taking shots at McDonalds.

I don't think there is really a need since it won't be multi-tracking several channels of high quality audio. It's mostly just gonna be transmitting midi data. USB 3.0 would probably be overkill, especially since there will be no need to transfer samples between the computer and MPC.
