If you buy the Ren/Studio do you plan on keeping your old MP

I'll hang on to my 2500. It's been solid for the most part with jjos. I know the Ren will not load all jjos parameters but the basic ones will work for me.

Yes.

Regardless of the machine, if it worked well and we sell it because of newer device eventually we find ourselves trying to reacquire it down the road. Sometimes that ain't so easy but usually pretty expensive.

There's a lot sobbing mofos that wish they kept their MPC2000LE, 808s, EMU SPs, and other classics/workhorses.

I really don't know... I crave the interoperatability the Studio might bring to the table. Plus I still think the 4k is gigantic!!! All I can say is this The MPC software BETTER perform way past the 4k in quite a few areas to pry my MPC from my cold dead fingers.

I'll Be keeping my mpc's because there worth more in my possession than the measly bit of worthless cash these cheap mf's will offer. The dollar is too weak and like others have stated, You will miss your gear when it's gone. Then you will be mad at yourself for selling it for next to nothing.

I gave up my 3000LE. Lesson learned.

I can go on making beats on computer for months without touching the MPC, but as soon as I sell it I start havn mpc withdrawls...besides every now n then you wanna break away from your computer based production n just start chop9pn samples on the mpc...stack of wax, headphones, mpc and bag of treats always sounds oh so appealing

The Renny Ren has got to earn its keep first...but right now, I say NO...

Think of buying 5000 in addition to my 4000 now it goes for real cheap! No to Ren, maybe when OS2 drops or should I say IF??

Same here! When I do get a Ren, I will have to buy one of those little rolling racks; Quiklock or whatever it's called. I currently have my Maschine sitting on my turntable flight case!

I do not plan on parting with my hardware MPCs or Maschine. I am thinking about building a custom desk that will have all my drum machines sitting side-by-side.
