That's good to know.

This new DSI synth ticks all the boxes for me... Compact with a great keyboard action and nice build quality, stacks of modulation possibilities, a free software editor and obviously the sweet 4 note poly analogue sound.

It's also cool that it was announced and within a week you can actually buy it. 8)

I ALWAYS read up on you guys' reviews and convo's on analog synths. I'm very interested in the talk of it. I feel like I'm going to end up with one one day soon.

I really like the sounds that comes out from it. I hate to say this, but I can't say the same thing to Brute demos (I know it is mono synth, but I don't think it is the reason. And no, I'm not comparing those two, that would be totally unfair.)

Dear Santa...

I love the immediacy of a good analogue synth. One second you've got something sedate and serene, and with a few turns of a dial you end up with more wobble than a fat chick dancing to her favourite tune! It's nice to just turn them on (the synth, not the fat chick) and start playing.

You still want that MiniBrute, right?
I've been diggin' all this analog goodness coming out too. But that still tops the list. It reminds me of the Roland SH-101, which I have sitting here, waiting for me to repair for a friend of mine. I made some bangin' drums on the 101, and I know the MiniBrute's gonna be just as fun, if not more. :)

I just got back from GC and I was playing with the 101, that's a cool peice. Kronos felt like cheap plastic to me, the faders on Akai slim line controllers for laptops felt more solid than the faders on the Kronos. I loved the feel of the Mopho keyboard (this little thing threw out some serious sounds), Minitaur, Slim phatty, Lil Phatty.

There were actually 2, one was just sold right before I got there minutes earlier, associate was bugging me talking about it while I was looking at all the functions on the front face of it. I didn't check the prices though.

I just called back, $329 dude said. I looked online just now for different pics, it's a GAIA SH-01 I saw in the store.

SH-101 I saw online wasn't the same keyboard as in the store.

The Gaia is cool. But it's virtual analog. I'd love to see Roland start making real analog again. But I doubt that'll happen.
The SH-101 on the other hand is a classic piece of analog heaven. If you come across one of them, you'll find it difficult to pass up. But I'm sure the prices went up just like the TB-303, MC-202, and all the classics everyone wants. That's why I'm looking forward to the MiniBrute. They're going for the same price as the SH-101 did almost 30 years ago, and I bet it will be a well-sought-after classic that'll hold it's value and increase over time as well.

I'm not interested in classic gear at all. Maybe that will stop me from getting anything of good quality. Minibrute was/is looking good and won't break the bank at all, and it's not old, neither will the mophox4, I like that 4 on it. Mono is part of the game I know, I know.

Thats the apple of my eye right now. I LOVE that 4 poly, but saving my patches is a priority also. Man my head is spinning.

I missed that part of the mopho4 spec, going to re-read now. Your spending my money? I know it will be well spent if you do it though. I take few opinions seriously, urz, iz, serious.
