The Minibrute has a different character than the Moog. Whatever flavor suits you better is where it's at. The Moog has it's legendary filters and a warmth all it's own.
The MiniBrute is a bit more edgy, more aggressive and metallic. But still as warm as an analog would be. But it don't sound as warm as a Moog.
Considering you're after the preset memory and the Moog sound, go for the Phatty.
Otherwise if you wanna get down old school style, you gotta learn to love faders and knobs that don't save to presets or control anything externally. If anything those limitations are bearable in the studio compared to in a live situation, having to create lots of patches manually.

I bought the Gaia within a few months of it coming out. I got a good deal on it because I bought it off a guy who'd had his studio turned over and the Gaia was an insurance replacement for another synth that went walkies.

All in all it's cheap and cheerful, but like most VA's it's let down by a crappy filter. I would take a nice analogue low pass over a digital multi-mode filter any day.

I doubt someone who is infatuated with the moog smooth/warm sound would appreciate Mopho x4. Mopho KB IMHO is more metallic than warm. I'm not opposed to metallic, I am a fan of Akai's AX60 (which is similar to the Minibrute as far as featureset and IMHO sound character) but the Mopho struck me as weak IMHO.
I'd take a mono Evolver over a 4 voice Mopho, especially in the realm of sample-based music where anything can have polyphony. Even so MophoX4 will no doubt be awesome for some applications, I imagine it can produce cool pad/chords.

Note all the IMHOs, I appreciate that others will have different taste than my own amateur opinion.

Ima have to agree to disagree, I think the mopho is in general not metallic at all. I'd describe it as more grit analog, and it can easily pull off smooth sounds. Mopho, IMO, is perfect for hip hop/house/electro, its gritty and can nail super low sub basses with the sub OSC. I really didn't like the evolver, was not my cup of tea, very digital and experimental sounding, so I guess it all depends on preference. I'd love to have Mopho 4x though If I had the dough.

Lamp I have the mopho desktop and the slim phatty. such different sounds. the mopho sounds are surprisingly versatile not only presets but the general character of it is so versatile. the 4 voice doesnt have sub osc i dont think but there are 4 voices non multitimbral just polyphonic. conversely the mopho filter is no where near the goodness of the moog filter in the phatty. the phatty has its lane , bass and leads big phat or thin and squelchy or smooth and rich. throw a little effects on either machine and they both really really shine.

I cant see you going wrong with either of em. consider those things and think of what you want most. you'll win either way. then wait a few months and go get the other one too

Sunrizer and Magellan blow my mind all the time. hard to believe such great sound comes from an ios app. I've almost forgotten about wanting a polyphonic analog synth with Sunrizer and Magellan on my ipad. but yeah the moog bass is often imitated but i didnt realize just how true the phrase "never duplicated" was until i owned the slim phatty.
