Hi guys, in these days i wanna customize my MPC2KXL.
All black with the orange plastic bar of the floppy.
Someone here have opened the MPC by itself?
it's easy?

I think i can put off the cover simply removin the screws and the note variation fader away, but, how can i remove the plastic bar of the floppy?

Anyone have experience on this...
I've searched on the forum but i cannot find nothing helpful about this...

Tnx

Once you get the cover/face off the mpc the floppy is exposed and you just pull the face of the floppy off.

Where do you get the covers to change the look of your MPC?

you have to paint your own cover not buy a new one unless you happen to find a cover from another mpc on ebay. I don't think akai sells them but if they do I imagine they are pricey.

Yeah you can buy them from Akai, It's I think $75 to buy the original case, $100 or somethin around there for the SE versions and I ain't sure how much the Blue case is, I think it's $100 too. But you can only buy cases that they already came out with.
