What MPC to build my home studio around?

Just bought a new MacBook Pro laptop, maxed out. I have an open budget to build this small home studio. Mostly I will be making beats, editing sequences and making final mixes. I will be sampling from turntables and also recording some DJ scratching over the MPC sequences. Which MPC is best? Wait for the Ren or buy the 5000? Thanks!

There is no "BEST" MPC, it all comes down to personal preference and choice. Compare the features and specs between them and choose once that is close to what you want to us it for and in your budget range. No point spending an extra 500 notes on somethink your not going to use half the features on.
