Thinking of buying a 1000, all mpc's drift when slaved to midi sync, midi is a serial protocol and not sample accrate. MTC is less attractive for my puprposes.
Anyone actually tested see what happens when click plays on both? Curious how tight timing is...
Thats a good beat clock timing test, put two 1000s next to each ther, sync, and listen to the click track see if it holds timing. No one can them argue its something else other than MPC or cable.
Actually, I've used midi clock for most of my recording career and prefer timecode over it because it's more accurate between the two.
Clock is for the basics...timecode is more for advanced sync purposes such as sync'n external multitracks recorders & sending code for video (if that's what you're into of course).
