Static on Playback of Samples (low signal)

I've never had this issue before. I seem to be sending a low signal from my mixer to my MPC 2000. On playback of samples there is a lot of static--sounds like static from playing a dusty record but this is not the case. I'm playing very clean records that I have sampled cleanly before. I've powered down everything, triple checked all connections and still the same result.

Frustrated.

Any ideas?

Is it the same for all outputs, including headphones or is it limited to a certain one? Make sure none of the leads have detached from the main volume potentiometer.

Can you also upload a clip of the original signal from the record and next the one the mpc outputs with noise?
If you leave the mpc on for an hour at least does it freeze?
