Dual monitors setup Q??

Lookn for dual monitor setup opinions, was wondering what the preferred size is....I think 20" wide screen being smallest and 24 biggest ? Let me know what's good

I guess it's what you're most comfortable with. Space & distance would probably factor in the desired size you're looking for.

To me, dual 24" monitors would work as long as you have the space to use them without them being all up in your face and whatnot.

I use a 32" lcd hdtv as my monitor (without the use of the tv of course) and it serves me well. But I like the option of having dual monitors for the added workspace.

space is a factor for sure, currently running of single 28" and it's a tight fit between monitor speakers and everything else on the desk.

Have you considered mounting monitors either on a wall or a stand? Or if you have a laptop you can use this...I have a mobile workstation and this plus the docking station saves me a bunch of space. This brand is a little pricey but Monoprice.com (plus a whole lot of others) has cheaper versions of these.

^^^ I like the idea of those duals mounted on that single stand. That sh!t looks crisp, sharp, or whatever!

Even two 20" monitors will probably give you space issues then, Konc3pt, since that setup will be wider, even if angled, compared to an average single 28" display. All things being equal though I personally prefer either a single 30" or 27" (not stretched 1920x1080 res, but higher) or at least two 22" to 24" (with min of 1920x1080 res). In the case of the latter smaller dual monitors, I would be looking to make sure that they both have resolutions at or above 1080p. Some displays smaller than that don't.

For me, 22" to 24" are the perfect size for dual monitors if you're positioned at least 3ft (around 1m) from them.

When I tried two 27" monitors together I found that it would only work if I sat quite a bit farther back from them than I'd like to. I didn't want to rearrange my setup to accommodate them but that could very well work in a different situation. I may even do it myself if I rearrange things.

thanks for your input fellas!, I really would like dual 22-24, but I think I might be able to only get away with 20-22's if that...since Im using dual 24's at work imma bust out with measuring tape tomorrow and see how much I need and if I can move things around on the desk in the lab. i've looked into dual monitor/single stand setup....the one above is super nice cuz it got its on foot to stand on, I noticed cheaper versions tend to use clamp style mechanism to hold them in place, since Im using corner desk dont think clamp would work well in the sitation, but I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled on a deal n i'll keep in mind resolution factor...good lookn out!

Also, make sure the monitors you get are VESA mountable.

Edit: Also look for LED monitors for lowest profile.
