Swap my mpc 2000xl for a sp 1200?

Should i swap my mpc 2000xl for a sp 1200 ? My mpc is upgraded with thick pads and cf card reader, no additionnal outs nor effect board. The sp should be in mint and it is the first version.

i once knew a dude a year ago brought a SP1200 for $1250. safe to say even if you dont like your SP you can always flip it and get another 2000xl and have money in your pocket.

I wouldn't think twice about it, make the trade. If for no other reason, consider being able to edit samples with the fader controls!

you could get 3-4 2xl's for the price of a sp1200 these days

the 2000xl is either the first or second most common mpc model... and one of the most common drum machines...

the sp1200 is one of the rarest drum machines and one of the most expensive samplers to buy these days... despite the price, it's still got quite a demand.

it would be like trading a modern toyota with great gas mileage for a '64 impala. selling that impala will give you the funds to buy 4 new toyotas.

i were you i would throw in a bit of cash to lure him in. Then keep your SP and get another 2000xl.

I sold my maxed our 2xl in minty cond for £300.Theres a sp1200 on the bay now for 1500£ !!!!!!! Just to get some prospective.Thats five times the price.

If you dont have s950 or etc. dont do it, i have asr-10, 2kxl, s950, now im waitin for SP that i bought week ago, so i will choose between all of them, or not to sell any of em!:) the only sp is hard work, its 10 sec, think about S series

Yep thats my plan too. I have made a offer that include the mpc + 1000 Danish kroners (thats about 180 dollars). Lets see how he react

An SP1200 for an XL? My god, that's the come up of the year material right there. The real greedy cats on eBay have crossed the $2000USD on Buy It Now prices. I couldn't imagine any way to get more than $600 for a maxed/near mint XL.
